Some 'junior' members of the Landlord Web Solutions team had a little fun (and got a little muddy) this weekend in order to raise money for a very special cause.
Gavin, Owen, Jaxsen & Emma took part in the 7th annual Kids Ultimate Challenge in support of the Children's Unit at Niagara Health. The kids are the children of LWS staffers and called their team the LWS Challengers. They participated in the 1km non-competitive course that has become a fun tradition for kids in the Niagara region.
The course is modelled after Tough Mudder races and included obstacles like ramps, walls, ropes, and the always-popular mud pit.
"I initially found out about this event while doing photography for it. Our family loves the cause, so we've been doing it for three years," said Ashley, LWS Project Manager and Jaxsen and Emma's mom. "The obstacle course and the vendors are great, too. My son's favorite part is, hands-down, the mud pit."
Landlord Web Solution staff members made sure to support the little challengers by donating to their cause. The LWS Challengers were able to raise over $270 for Niagara Health, who will use the funds raised this year to purchase a neonatal cardiac monitoring machine.
"All of my boys were born within the Niagara Health System, plus they love running around and getting dirty, so taking part in and fundraising for this event just made sense. They loved the mud pit, the bouncy castle and the post-run slurpies," said LWS Senior Customer Success Rep Breanne, mom to Gavin and Owen.
