Landlord Web Con 2011 - A Great Success!

On May 12, 2011, landlords gathered from across Canada to attend Landlord Web Con 2011.   This was a landmark event, and the first of its kind within the Canadian apartment industry.  The day’s events focused on Internet marketing and online advertising, as they apply to the apartment industry. 

The conference kicked off with a great keynote presentation delivered by Brock MacLean, VP of operations at www.forrent.com.  Brock delivered an in-depth presentation outlining how online media tools are used in the US market to attract renters. His energetic personality coupled with his charisma really helped to kick off the day’s event.

Throughout the day over 50 different companies - comprising of 160 guests - attended various breakout sessions, which focused on such topic as: Website Development, Mobile Marketing, Cost Per Click Advertising, Social Media, Resident Retention, Web Analytics and so much more.

The feedback that the sponsors received from attendees was very positive and encouraging.  Overall the attendees enjoyed the event and found the speakers to provide valuable insight and tips for marketing in the online space.

Thank you to all of the speakers for their hard work and contributions.  Their presentations and their expertise in their fields really helped make the day a successful one.  In lieu of a gift a donation will be made to the [charity], which provides computers and education for young people in emerging countries.

The Landlord Web Solutions’ team is now in the process of uploading the presentations onto the www.landlordwebcon.ca website.  Once the video recordings have been edited and finalized by ApartmentVideo.ca then they too will be uploaded onto the website. All attendees of the event will be able to view these videos at no additional charge.
