We are looking for a Website Quality & Accessibility Specialist to join our diverse & rapidly expanding team. This position will primarily be responsible for ensuring that our platform meets and/or exceeds standards outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, as well as our internal standards for quality and usability.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular website audits
- Review and analyze HTML code to assess quality and accessibility
- Maintain working knowledge of quality standards
- Develop and perform quality test processes
- Make recommendations for repairing defects
- Collaborate with Web Developers/Project managers to develop effective strategies and test plans
- Participate in regular meetings with Project Management/Web Developer departments
- Document testing protocols
- Assure accuracy of Rentsync and client websites prior to production
- Troubleshoot websites across multiple browsers and devices
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Conduct post-release/ post-implementation website testing to ensure proper functionality
- Perform AODA/WCAG Compliance audits for new and existing client websites
- Document and make recommendations to meet Accessibility Compliance
- Test websites using assistive technology, such as screen readers
- Maintain record of website accessibility issues that have been repaired
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the website development lifecycle

Minimum Qualifications:
- Diploma in Computer Science or a related field
- 2 years of experience in web quality assurance & accessibility
- Active knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 regarding web accessibility protocol
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Active knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
- Demonstrated track record of effective problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field
- 2 – 5 years of experience in software/websites testing
- Strong oral and verbal communication skills required
- Knowledge of Javascript
- AODA Certification is an asset
